A buckling-restrained brace connection frames into a wide-flange beam. The wide-flange beam is sized per plan, featuring typical one-half inch thick stiffener plates welded to the web with five-sixteenth inch fillet welds on three sides. A gusset plate, sized per the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer, connects to the underside of the beam and interfaces with the brace assemblies. The working point is established at the intersection of the centerlines of the beam and braces.
