This one-hour fire barrier partition utilizes four-inch cold-formed metal framing spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The stud cavity is filled with glass fiber batt acoustic insulation. Each side of the partition is finished with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum wallboard. The total assembly thickness measures five and one-quarter inches.
