A clear anodized aluminum threshold sits atop a thickened concrete slab at the stair landing, resting over a sill pan set in a full sealant bed and integrated with an adjacent reglet on the stair tower rising wall. A foil-faced sheet membrane and foil tape run below the pan flashing, which works in conjunction with a counter flashing located beneath the door threshold. A quarter-inch bent steel plate is secured to the slab face above a termination bar sealed with water cut-off mastic, leaving a quarter-inch to half-inch spacing between consecutive lengths. The assembly ties into a roof membrane layered over half-inch DensDeck roof board and tapered crickets, bearing on a composite concrete and metal roof deck treated with spray-on fireproofing.
