A built-up stud column is anchored to a concrete slab on grade using a continuous bottom track and Simpson anchor bolts. The built-up column consists of three vertical studs matching the typical wall studs, framed with two tracks and fastened together with eight number ten structural self-tapping screws at twelve inches on center. The continuous bottom track secures to the concrete slab with three-eighths-inch diameter by four-and-one-half-inch Titen HD anchors. Five number ten screws connect the track assembly to the studs on each side.
