A reinforced concrete pier foundation for an exterior light pole features a two-foot diameter column set in natural undisturbed soil or approved compacted fill. The assembly incorporates four number seven or eight number five vertical reinforcing bars with number three ties at twelve inches on center, alongside a one-inch minimum grout space under the light pole base plate with a smooth, sloping finish. Anchor bolts and leveling nuts are provided per the light pole manufacturer and tied to the reinforcing steel, with embedded electrical conduit running through the center of the pier. A schedule relating pole heights from fifteen to forty feet to corresponding foundation depths between four feet six inches and eight feet is included, along with notes specifying building department approved fabrication requirements.
