An automatic closing sixty-minute rated sliding fire door hangs from a track mechanism supported by brackets anchored to a one-hour rated wall designated as P3X. A track hood encloses the mechanism at the interior of the stairwell. An electronic door operator is mounted typically within the assembly, and a drive bar connects to the sliding door leaf.
