A metal door frame profile is secured to steel stud framing within a gypsum wallboard partition, incorporating a minimum one-half inch wallboard penetration per NFPA 80. The frame is fastened using a minimum of two one-inch long steel screws per anchor. A maximum clearance of one-eighth inch is maintained between the door frame and the door as scheduled, with a maximum three-quarter inch clearance at the sill per NFPA 80 requirements.
