An aluminum door frame connects to the head of a metal stud wall assembly with a continuous twenty gauge metal runner. The six and three-eighths inch wall cavity contains batt insulation faced with gypsum board on both sides, including an additional layer of gypsum board where required. A note specifies this assembly for openings up to three feet wide.
