Cold-formed steel framing connects to a concrete wall using deflection track and shot pins for both stud and joist conditions. The stud condition features a Superior No. 53 twenty-gauge deflection track fastened to the concrete wall with zero-point-one-seven-seven-inch diameter by one-and-one-half-inch long shot pins with metal washers spaced at twenty-four inches on center, with gypsum board applied as required per the floor plan and a one-half-inch fill with caulking typical on both sides. The joist condition secures a steel joist and steel track to the concrete wall using zero-point-one-seven-seven-inch shot pins at twenty-four inches on center, a number-ten screw fastening the track to each stud, and a three-hundred-sixty-two-T-eighteen continuous track with a one-half-inch clearance and caulking.
