An eleven-inch thick concrete slab terminates at a loading dock edge reinforced with a continuous C10x15.3 steel channel embedded flush with the slab edge. The channel is detailed with a quarter-inch by one-and-a-half-inch by eleven-inch steel flat with a right-angle bend forming a one-and-three-quarter-inch flange, spaced at a maximum of ten inches staggered and two inches from the ends. A Rite Hite laminated rubber dock bumper model #8410-24 is mounted at each side of the dock door except where an edge-of-dock leveler occurs. A pour strip measuring a minimum of two feet wide is provided at the slab edge, and the concrete slab and supporting wall are reinforced per structural drawings.
