Truncated dome surface features a pattern with a base diameter of 0.9 inches tapering to 0.45 inches at the top, spaced 2.35 inches on center with a height of 0.2 inches. The expansion joint in the concrete walk incorporates a half-inch felt expansion joint material sealed on top with tooled quarter-inch radius edges. Smooth number 5 dowels measuring 24 inches long are placed at 24 inches on center and wrapped with a bond breaker on one side. Welded wire mesh reinforcement of 6 by 6-W10 by W10 size is discontinued at the expansion joint. The assembly rests on a compacted subgrade with a control joint featuring a quarter-inch deep saw cut and an eighth-inch width.
