An accent wall integrates a cove lighting fixture with an integral shielding cover and cover flange. The fixture mounts adjacent to five-eighths inch gypsum board walls backed by required blocking, which is painted black where exposed. Below the cove, wood look panels attach using the manufacturer's cleat hanging system. A corner bead finishes the gypsum board edge at the ceiling intersection.
