The shaft wall jamb assembly is anchored to a concrete substrate using a steel J-runner at the base. C-H studs and one-inch gypsum liner panels form the core cavity of the assembly. Two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board face the exterior side. Acoustical sealant is applied at the perimeter joint to maintain sound ratings per UL System BWS 0016.
