A four-inch scheduled expansion joint is positioned between a new concrete tilt wall sandwich panel and an existing concrete tilt wall. A scheduled steel column is enclosed by a concrete column protector, flanked by concrete curbs on a structural foundation. A one-half-inch expansion material layer is integrated at the wall junction.
