A control station and overheight bag restraint bracket assembly is mounted on top of a structural frame constructed from four-inch by two-inch C-channel members, with Unistrut explicitly noted as not acceptable. The assembly includes a lanyard photocell and a push button control station positioned above the conveyor opening. A photocell is mounted to the C-channel on the side of the conveyor opposite from the loading and sorting side, positioned between eighteen and twenty-four inches above the base. Side guards are provided within the vertical frame members which span three feet four inches in height. In applications where loading or sorting occurs on both sides of the conveyor, the photocells must be protected by appropriate means.
