A continuous one-and-a-half-inch steel tubing handrail caps the guardrail assembly, supported by double half-inch by three-inch vertical steel flat bars spaced at four feet maximum. Half-inch horizontal steel rods span between vertical supports, while half-inch by half-inch steel bars center on the floor plate. Metal grate treads feature checkered plate nosing and core drill and grout installations into the structural slab. A three-sixteenths-inch thick painted perforated steel riser closure welds to the stair stringer.
