An extruded aluminum threshold is set directly in sealant at the door transition, aligned with a hollow metal frame located beyond. At grade level, the exterior door landing is flush with the finish floor at the top and slopes away from the building at a maximum of 1:48. At industrial stairway landings, the landing remains level. A joint sealant is provided and installed vertically below the threshold connection.
