A semi-recessed stainless steel baby changing station is anchored to cold-formed metal framing with three number ten by three-inch stainless steel sheet metal vandal-proof screws on each side, or using manufacturer-supplied fasteners. The unit is installed within a framed wall assembly with metal track at the perimeter of the opening, header, and sill top track secured by two number ten by two-and-a-half-inch self-drilling screws. A bag hook is attached to wall blocking with three number ten by two-inch stainless steel vandal-proof screws. The changing station is positioned twenty-eight to thirty-four inches above the finished floor when open, ensuring twenty-seven inches of clear knee clearance is provided.
