The assembly is constructed over undisturbed soil topped with a four-inch base course and a six-inch concrete paving slab containing one-inch drainage openings spaced every twenty-four inches on center and at low spots. A geo-textile fabric separates the concrete from a maximum one-and-one-half-inch sand bed, which supports three-and-one-eighth-inch stone pavers. A one-quarter-inch by six-inch steel edging restrains the paver perimeter, anchored to the concrete paving with one-half-inch by three-inch anchors spaced at twelve inches on center adjacent to topsoil.
