An acoustic shaft wall assembly terminates at a structural slab. The assembly is built around C-H studs and gypsum liner panels, framed at the base with a J runner track anchored to the concrete floor. Sound attenuation blankets fill the stud cavity for acoustic performance. The wall surfaces are finished on both sides with five-eighths-inch gypsum board, sealed at the base with a continuous acoustic sealant against the slab.
