An acoustical tackable wall panel is mounted to a gypsum board substrate over metal stud framing using Z-clips secured with screws. Adjoining panels form a butt joint with continuous backing. The assembly weight is specified as 1.25 pounds per square foot for one-inch thick panels and 1.75 pounds per square foot for two-inch thick panels when installed with resin and Z-clips.
