A six-inch outer diameter galvanized steel pipe is filled with concrete and anchored to a concrete deck. The pipe is welded with a three-sixteenths fillet weld to a half-inch by nine-inch by nine-inch hot-dip galvanized embed plate. The embed plate is anchored into the concrete deck with two half-inch diameter ASTM A36 steel rods and two number five reinforcing bars at six feet zero inches each way, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A pre-finished bollard sleeve with a manufacturer color selected by the architect covers the assembly, which extends four feet zero inches above the top of the concrete deck.
