A wood door frame meets a six-inch metal stud partition finished with five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board and paint on both sides. The wall framing is detailed with drywall "F" reveals at the jamb junction and a one-quarter-inch shim positioned between the frame and stud. Sealant and backer rod are applied at both sides of the wood door casing joint.
