A wire mesh panel guardrail is mounted at the edge of a composite concrete deck and steel structure with a minimum height of forty-two inches. The wire mesh panel is framed by steel angles welded in place with intermittent welds spaced at regular intervals alongside typical flat bars. A steel plate tab welded to the vertical support anchors the assembly to the structural slab edge, maintaining a clearance that prevents the passage of a four-inch diameter sphere.
