A roof access ladder assembly is anchored adjacent to a cross-laminated timber roof edge and insulated wall construction. The ladder features twenty-six point seven millimeter outside diameter galvanized round hollow structural section rungs spaced at three hundred millimeters on center, supported by galvanized steel angles on both sides and safety grating with checker plate nosings at the landing. Galvanized flat plates measuring seventy-six by ten millimeters and galvanized wall supports are welded to the steel hollow structural section posts concealed within the wall assembly and bolted directly to the glulam beam. Waterproofing membranes including self-adhered membrane and polymethyl methacrylate extend one hundred millimeters onto the steel penetration complete with a leading edge sealant. A note instructs the contractor to confirm if adequate space is provided to install the roofing.
