An aluminum window head interfaces with a wood framing structure supporting a painted metal panel per specification. The horizontal top surface slopes at one-quarter inch per foot and is finished with a sheet metal drip cap. A thermal break clip secures the metal panel assembly. Backer rod and sealant seal the joint between the window frame and the wood lining.
