A thermoplastic polyolefin roof membrane extends up the brick wall over a typical cant strip and secures mechanically to the underlayment with a termination bar. Sealing mastic is applied behind the termination bar and single-ply caulk seals above it. Mortar is removed from the brick joint as required to receive a sheet metal reglet counterflashing. A removable sheet metal counterflashing overlaps the membrane termination, and continuous sealant is tooled into the reglet joint to facilitate water runoff.
