A two-foot diameter cast-in-place concrete base for a light pole is supported by four number seven vertical bars or eight number five vertical bars with number three ties at twelve inches on center horizontally. The foundation incorporates one-inch diameter by thirty-six-inch long anchor bolts with three-and-a-half-inch diameter galvanized steel washers, tied to reinforcing steel per manufacturer requirements. A one-inch grout layer is provided beneath the base plate, resting on the concrete base finished with a three-quarter-inch chamfer and painted to match the building unless noted otherwise. An electrical conduit enters the base with a minimum of two feet of ground cover, and a handhole with ground connector is located on the pole above. A selection table defines the variable embedment height H based on pole height and surrounding conditions such as concrete paving versus asphaltic concrete paving or planting.
