A medium broom finish concrete truck apron features a thickened edge extending to the bottom of the aggregate base at natural grade with a tooled one-half-inch radius edge. The apron slab has a minimum thickness of nine inches and bears on natural grade or aggregate base per soils report. Adjacent asphalt concrete paving over aggregate base is placed over compacted soil. Below slab preparation and steel reinforcing requirements are governed by the soils report.
