A structural steel tube measuring two inches by two inches by three-sixteenths of an inch serves as the vertical support post at six feet on center maximum. A steel base plate measuring two and one-quarter inches by six inches by one-quarter of an inch welds to the bottom of the tube and anchors to the concrete slab using two expansion bolts with a minimum three-eighths inch diameter and two-inch minimum embedment. Metal studs attach to the steel tube using number eight self-tapping sheet metal screws at sixteen inches on center. Corner beads finish all exposed outside corners of the partition assembly.
