This interior partition detail shows a kitchen door jamb assembly with a solid wood jamb of varying depth aligned with the wall finish on each side. A center hung pivot hinge is integrated into the 1-1/2 inch thick door leaf with required wood blocking behind the frame. A metal angle is glued to the gypsum wallboard, and the entire assembly receives paint and finish as scheduled. Shims are provided as required with a 1/4 inch shim space at the metal stud partition. A cylinder key lockset is provided, and the partition continues above with a header.
