This assembly features a reinforced membrane secured over rigid insulation and roof sheathing, which is supported by a roof truss. The membrane seam is fastened using a fastener and fastener plate installed per the manufacturer's specifications. The overlap requires a minimum of 1 1/2 inches for the membrane lap and a minimum of 1/2 inch for the fastener plate clearance, with an approximate total seam width of 5 1/2 inches. Sealant is applied at the lap edge to ensure a watertight finish.
