A backing plate is anchored within the wall with a 1x4 blocking aligned at its center line for the bottom connection of a base cabinet mounted against a stud partition wall. The cabinet structure consists of three-quarter-inch medium-density fiberboard faced with melamine on both sides. Cabinet attachment requires a minimum of four number fourteen by three-inch self-tapping pan head sheet metal screws with backing. These screws are located two inches both vertically and horizontally from each cabinet corner, and spaced eight inches on center horizontally along the top of each cabinet partition. A three-quarter-inch base is doweled at each end typically.
