This assembly consists of a gypsum board bulkhead and soffit constructed over metal stud framing. The vertical and horizontal faces are finished with 5/8-inch gypsum board, with metal edges installed at all corners to be taped and finished. The bulkhead features a 4-inch vertical drop relative to the adjacent ceiling planes. The bottom of the acoustic ceiling tile system is referenced to the reflected ceiling plan for elevation control. The bulkhead and soffit elevations are also coordinated with the reflected ceiling plan.
