A hollow metal frame is installed at the jamb of a door opening up to eight feet wide, framed with boxed metal studs. Batt insulation fills the interior of the partition cavity behind gypsum board panels specified per the partition schedule. Joint sealant is applied to both sides between the frame and the adjacent construction. A door specified in the door schedule fits within the frame opening.
