A recessed fluorescent fixture is supported within a suspended ceiling grid comprised of main structural runners spaced at four feet on center and cross ties. Twelve gauge fixture support wires are attached at the center ends of each fixture, supplied by the ceiling contractor. Twelve gauge lateral support wires are positioned within three inches of each corner of the light fixture. These wires are splayed and fastened to the overhead beam or purlin with a minimum of three wire turns at each connection point.
