The assembly frames an exterior or interior soffit corner using cold-formed metal studs and five-eighths inch gypsum board sheathing. Wood-look panels attach to the backing framing via a manufacturer-supplied cleat hanging system. A three-inch wide, one-eighth-inch thick stainless steel plate bent at one hundred thirty-five degrees finishes the outside corner joint. The custom finish on the stainless steel plate is selected by the architect.
