An exterior wall assembly terminates against a glazed curtain wall using a flanged aluminum insert and a self-sealing anchor plate. A self-adhered air and water resistive barrier wraps the exterior surface behind a layer of rigid insulation. Primary and secondary weather sealants protect the joint at the aluminum framing and glass unit. Fasteners penetrating the air and water resistive barrier receive sealant over their heads to maintain weatherproofing integrity. An interior corner bead finishes the wall edge below.
