A hollow metal door frame is welded at the flange and corners and set in sealant with a foil-faced self-adhered sheet metal flashing. The head detail integrates a fluid-applied weather-resistive barrier and a Tyvek Commercial Wrap D separator sheet behind the exterior stucco finish. A Perm-A-Barrier Ultra self-adhered flashing and J-mold terminate above the frame, incorporating a stucco weep screed for moisture drainage. Sealant and backer rod seal the joint between the frame and the wall assembly.
