This assembly features a metal cove base profile installed at the junction of a wall and floor, sized to match the adjacent tile thickness per specification 09 30 00 and manufacturer instructions. The cove base is backed by a grout fill and secured with flexible sealant at the wall interface. A clear flexible sealant is applied at the floor transition to accommodate movement. The entire assembly sits atop a layer of fluid-applied waterproofing that extends up the wall and across the floor substrate. Wall and floor finishes are specified per the project plans.
