A roof drain assembly is set into roof sheathing with tapered rigid insulation forming a drain sump sloping less than three inches per foot. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends over the rigid insulation and terminates at the roof drain flange with continuous sealant. The drain bowl is secured with mechanical fasteners and connects to the plumbing infrastructure below.
