An insulated metallic pipe or conduit penetrates a rated assembly requiring a one or two-hour fire rating. ASTM E-648 Class 2 sealant is installed to a depth of five-eighths of an inch with a one-quarter-inch crown around the penetration. The assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories system number WL5014.
