Luxury vinyl tile and tile on thin-set meet over a concrete substrate with an intervening L-shaped metal transition profile specified in section 09 30 01. The vinyl flooring sits on cementitious underlayment and adhesive as required by the flooring contractor. The tile flooring is set in thin-set mortar directly adjacent to the vertical leg of the transition profile. At curved applications, the tile installer is required to install the radius option of the L-shaped profile.
